More often than not the fashion term Boho conjures unfortunate images of Rachel Zoe and her clients circa 2005-2006. Pictured below is an image of Zoe and Nicole Richie that best captures the essence of that moment in fashion.

Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe catapulted to fame around 2005-2006 and her signature look which included

“big hair, big sunglasses, skeletal frame, hippy-chic clothing… earned her clients the nickname of Zoe-Bots”.

In 2009 Nicole Richie monetized this aesthetic and launched her

House of Harlow 1960

fashion line which was heavily influenced by her time spent with Zoe.

ever-so-subtly yet ironically alludes in a very appealing way to the BoHo look. However, it is firmly grounded in a hard to resist architectural sensibility reminiscent of

Reed Krakoff

that is sure to appeal to the urban dwelling fashion lover who eschews all things hippy (esque).
