Brandi Alexander Joins the Stellar Cast on CBC TV’s The Romeo Section
Brandi Alexander joins the cast of the critically acclaimed espionage crime drama series The Romeo Section in season two. Though you may already know Brandi from Fifty Shades of Grey, Canada’s Next Top Model, and Deal or No Deal, her new leading role on The Romeo Section highlights another new benchmark in her career. The show is created by renowned show-runner Chris Haddock (Intelligence, Da Vinci’s Inquest) and has already won an outstanding number of Leo awards. The second season airs at 9:00 pm on CBC TV and will also be airing on Netflix this fall.
The Romeo Section’s season two will consist of 10 new one-hour episodes in which the players get played, the powerful stumble, and the meek rise to power. Brandi plays Lana, the skeptical girlfriend of a downtown east side drug dealer and manager to the front for his heroin business. Lana reunites with her old flame Rufus, played by Juan Riedinger (Narcos, R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour), when he is sent to make a deal with her current boyfriend. The show also stars Andrew Airlie who returns this season portraying the role of “Wolfgang McGee’. Chris Haddock sums up his thoughts on what the fans can expect from The Romeo Section’s second season with just three simple words: “It gets nasty.”

Born to a Filipino mother and mixed father of African/Aboriginal and European decent, this model turned actress was born and raised in Vancouver. As a young child she expressed herself through different forms of art, particularly drawing and painting. But after taking part in school performances and attending acting classes, she discovered her deep love for acting. Brandi’s love for acting is what has brought her to where she is today. However, her path took a unique turn when she was approached to model at the age of 13. She started working as a fashion model for print, commercials and runway. She even immersed herself into the pageant world, competing in several pageants. This experience gave her a dose of competition which would prepare her for what was to come next – Canada’s Next Top Model.
From Canada’s Next Top Model, Brandi went on to being selected as one of the suit case models on the game show Deal or no Deal when they did a special spin for Canada with the dynamic actor/comedian Howie Mandel as the host. Brandi says, “Working on a game show was a new experience for me. The show was fun, upbeat, and always exciting! Each of the game show players was so very unique and the results were always surprising!”
In 2015, Brandi had the opportunity of filming in Russia when she booked a recurring role on a mini-series called Insomnia which is still currently in the editing works. This role enabled Brandi to work with Al Sapienz from House of Cards/ Sopranos as well as Max Topplin from Suits. Brandi also worked on the action thriller film Phantom and just recently wrapped her work on a short crime drama The Orchard.
Aside from acting, Brandi is also a registered holistic nutritionist. She emphasizes the importance of health. To her, this means eating very nutritious and also hitting the gym on a regular weekly schedule. Brandi eats healthy and stays fit as part of her lifestyle.
Brandi currently resides in Vancouver, BC. She is also a foodie and loves nature, travel, and to binge watch Netflix.
