Chances are, if you do not hold a degree in Art History but are familiar with the term Mondrian you can thank Yves Saint Laurent (August 1, 1936 – June 1, 2008) . Pictured below:  The seminal Autumn 1965 YSL garment is iconic. St Laurent took his inspiration for this dress from the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian (March 7, 1872 – February 1, 1944)
