Emerging & Established Designers

Vancouver’s emerging and established designers are the highlight and main focal point of the Little Black Dress Gala. The Gala involves live Jazz from some of our city’s best musicians, art installations and performances. The entertainment is used as a carousel to uniquely highlight the fashion show.

Fashion is at the forefront of this event. This platform is free to designers and dedicated to the success of those who are involved. On our website we highlight the presenting designers with photos and bio ( and similarly in the program that goes home with each guest. This Fall, we are also o ering presenting designers an opportunity to be interviewed for our Social News blog to further connect our readers with your work and vision.

For the last 4 seasons, The Little Black Dress Gala fashion shows have taken place at the Vancouver Art Gallery and more recently, Hotel Vancouver. We are excited to be returning to beautiful Paci c & BC Ballrooms at The Castle in the Heart of the City, Hotel Vancouver this season! The fashion show will weave through the grande ballroom of 1500 guests, VIPs and representatives from all branches of the fashion industry. Every season we invite Industry Insiders who are given to this event and it’s cause to sit front-row as our VIPs. Throughout the show they look to see how they can encourage the designers; their help ranges from answering questions, words of advice, mentoring, giving opportunity and actively staying involved in the growth and success of the designers who partner with us.

Media and photographers at this event know that all designers and brands participating at the Gala are given to social responsibility and positive impact in the lives of our youth in the community. The passion of the photographers and media is to see you succeed and as a result, they capture images from backstage and the runway to highlight you on their websites and social media. We, together with them, encourage you the designer to use any photos taken of your collection as you see necessary to solidify your next steps.
