On busy days at the office I liked knowing that I had cans of Amy’s Organic Split Pea Soup stashed away in my desk drawer.

Each FULL can of soup has roughly 150 calories and 10 g. of protein. If you are interested in boosting the protein and fiber content I suggest adding a half cup of Black Beans.  Adding half a cup of Black Beans will increase the calorie count by 115 and the protein content by 7 g.

Total 264 calories, 17 g. protein in an entire can of  Amy’s Organic Split Pea Soup if you add 1/2 cup of Black Beans. Personally, I would far rather eat this on a rushed rainy day rather than resorting to dining at a  fast food  outlet.
